Important Notice: Upcoming Server OS Upgrade to Amazon Linux 2023

Thank you for your continued use of Amimoto.

Amazon Linux 2 will reach its end of life on June 30, 2026. To ensure your servers remain secure and benefit from improved performance, we will be upgrading all eligible servers to Amazon Linux 2023 (AL2023).

Servers Affected

All servers created on or before March 10, 2026, will be included in this upgrade.

Upgrade Window

Upgrades will be performed between April and June 2026.

How We’ll Notify You

You will receive a notification at least one week before your scheduled upgrade date.
All work will take place on weekdays between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM (JST).
If you have multiple servers, please note that each server may be scheduled on a different date.

What You Need to Do

No action is needed on your part.
There will be no site downtime or IP address changes during the upgrade.
However, to protect your data, please avoid making changes in the WordPress admin panel for about 2 hours during the upgrade process.

PHP Version Requirements

After moving to AL2023, PHP versions earlier than 8.1 will not be supported.
If your server uses an older PHP version, please upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility.
For upgrade instructions, please refer to the “How to Upgrade PHP on Amimoto Managed Hosting” guide.
For general AL2023 questions, please see the Amazon Linux 2023 FAQ.
